S24 is a route that allows you to register a company online without the classic circulation of paper documents. For many people it is the fastest path to a KRS entry, but it will not always be the best choice. It is worth knowing the limits, requirements and differences versus the traditional route before you file.
Update: 5 March 2026
In brief:
S24 is available for selected company types and is based on ready-made document templates. This means not every legal form can be registered online, and the company agreement has a fixed framework. If you plan non-standard clauses or a complex share structure, consider the traditional route and check the KRS registration path.
Before you start in S24, have these basics organized:
For LLC registration, it is important to prepare information about share capital and how it will be covered, even if you enter it using a template.
In practice the process looks like this:
Most delays come from formal deficiencies or inconsistent data. That is why it is worth double-checking everything before you submit.
The application is filed in the S24 system within the Court Registers Portal.
S24 is usually faster and simpler, but it has limitations related to agreement templates and the scope of possible changes. The traditional route offers more flexibility but tends to be slower and more formal. If you need non-standard solutions, the traditional option is often safer.
Short comparison table:
| Area | S24 | Traditional route |
|---|---|---|
| Company agreement | Template, limited changes | Full freedom of clauses |
| Speed | Usually faster | Depends on the court |
| Formalities | Less paperwork | More formalities |
